Cucumber wrapped Salad with a freshly made Italian herb vinaigrette and a Parmesan Crisp. This Salad reminds me of Home. Salads made from Dad's Garden every day Summer in my hometown. The Parm Crisp and Cucumber wrap was a new addition for this special occasion.

(it was a pretty busy day so I had to wait till everything was complete to take a pic of the sample plating dish.(asparagus were not so wilted at service) Confirmation Meal presented to a table of Officers, Judges and their guests...shortly after an emergency fire drill when every one had to leave the ship (while in port) during a timed dinner preparation, still made it. Whew!

Pizza Cake

Yes..its a cake. I was asked to make a cake for a friend of a friend's birthday. It was delivered in a pizza box. (wish I had taken a pic of in the box) Toppings and crust made with fondant mushrooms salami & sausage, crispy cocoa maple beef, wine gum veggies and olives. Another friend suggested i enter it into Canadian Living Extreme cakes contest. So It was fun to make and enter the photo into a contest that was country wide. Fun experience.

"veggies, good for your body's morale" Carrot looked like a fellow cook who was a big part of Crew's morale booster, making everyone smile with the antics and the jokes...but always got the job done right.
